Arnold interview
B.H:
What is surfing to you?
Arnold:
Expression of lifestyle, it means everything to me.
B.H:
How long have you been surfing?
Arnold: I have been surfing for 25 years. I was 12 when
I started surfing. Before that we would use boogie &
paipo wood boards in Ewa beach. Haubush, Lots and canals
is where I started. This sewage pipe ran out to the reef
in the boogie/paipo days. We had a big back yard where we
would camp & Max Madieros brought me to the north shore
to surf Velzyland and west side at Yokohama bay. I traveled
with Buttons and he set me up with Local Motion before 9-11-2001.
We took a trip to Austarlia and visited Surfer's Paradise
to Byron's Bay & ended up in Bondi. We were suppose
to be in Western Austrailia but my friend broke his ankle
and we ended up hanging out and ending the trip at Sydney.
B.H:
Who are you sponsored by?
Arnold: Buttons
Hawaii & Buttons Hawaii.....and BOOM BOOM!
B.H:
Where do you live and for how long?
Arnold: Sunset
point for 10 years.
B.H:
So what do you think about the line up and the new faces
on the north shore?
Arnold: Its
amazing the number of people in the water and the progression
of the manuevers.
